Our laboratory conducts research in the fields of science and science education. The head of the laboratory holds two doctorates (Ph.D. in Geology and Ph.D. in Science Education: STEM Education) from a national university in Japan. The main research themes are as follows.
当研究室では、科学と科学教育の分野における研究を行っています。研究室の責任者は、日本の国立大学から地質学の博士号（Ph.D.）と科学教育（STEM教育）の博士号（Ph.D.）の2つの博士号を取得しています。主な研究テーマは以下の通りです。
Metamorphic rocks
Ultra-high pressure and High pressure metamorphic rock
超高圧・高圧変成岩
We are investigating the deep interior of planets through rocks that have sunk deep into the Earth's crust.
Disaster prevention and mitigation
Disaster prevention and mitigation education
防災・減災教育
We are conducting research on disaster prevention and mitigation education targeting earthquakes that occur in plate boundary zones. We are also developing STEAM educational materials and conducting surveys on the current situation.

Development and implementation of STEAM teaching materials on space and Earth

We conduct research on the development and implementation of STEM/STEAM educational materials specialized in Japanese geology.

We conduct research to investigate the background of anthropogenic environmental risks in the global environment. We also focus on marine science education.
